The Big entry.

Ok. So a couple of months have past and a LOT of catching up is needed. So here goes.

First up is News over the last 7 weeks.....

IGN Have write up on the death and rebirth of the arcade. "Did anyone really blink an eye when SEGA, one of the biggest gaming companies in the world, was forced to drop out of the console race, or were we all just busy playing PS2? "

The Sega Sammy Cup came to a close. Good to see that Sega Sammy can throw money at events. Even if it is a 2-bit golf tournament.

Good Ol Sega tell everyone to get creative with the Wii. Sega VP Scott Steinberg even goes as far as saying "Some third parties have shown a lack of imagination when dealing with this new platform. The way the Wii is being built you have to design for it. Ports and upgrades are no good." Sega, one of the few developers that managed to make a decent turnover on the Game cube should create a decent result by adopting the Wii at an early stage. Seeing that many battered and bruised Sega fans would have scampered on to the Nintendo bandwagon, it only seems logical to assume the Wii will be where most Sega fans will reside.

On another note if traveled back in time and told my 10 year old self that Sega would be a developer-only company and releasing games for the Nintendo, I would have laughed. Now I find myself the most excited over a bloody Nintendo system. If I told my 10 year old self that, I bet he would kill me to save the agony of growing up.

Next-gen have a little more about how Sega is now a Ninty whore. Oh, and how much everyone else will lose out if they don't listen to what Sega are saying and copy them.

Sega are releasing a card reader for the DS. You would think that Big N's failed attempt with a card reader on the DS would hint Sega that it might be a bad idea. Oh well.

Yet another story on how great Sega could have been. This time it comes from the mouth of ex Sega president Tom Kalinske. It has been well documented that Sega of Japan executives were a bunch of tards. At least this time we hear it from a reliable source what happened.

Sega ship chrome hounds for the 360. Only to cause hell as it is dogged with problems.

Finally in the ultimate 'meh'. Sega Japan Announces Phantasy Star Universe Keyboard

I will post my thoughts on Sega's pathetic past as well as Sega's promising future with the Wii.
